bringing old friends home

Tears, laughter, and grace - all gifts given from old, dear friends. Blessings and lessons are scattered throughout the story as they usually are, and wisdom blooms from so many pages.
This book is all about coming home - emotionally and spiritually. And it's quite the homecoming! Christy, Todd, Katie, and Eli have all grown into amazing God-lovers, and this book is nothing short of a celebration of these peculiar treasures.
I read this book in an evening, and I'm ready to read it again - to absorb more, "from the stomach up."

What an incredible book! Robin Jones Gunn has done it again. These books have made such a strong and lasting influence on me. I read them for the first time when I was thirteen, and still reread them frequently nearly ten years later! These books are a must read for young Christian women.

I've read all of the Christy books and the spin-off series, and I have to say I am getting tired of the "rich relative" device. It has been over-used, and it is how "God provides" in too many of her books.
